X1 System |
|
|
The X1 system has been specially developed
for heavy loads. It works by asystem that is as simpleas it is ingenious:
Two ergonomically arched, crossed aluminium bars in frame channels transmit
a part of the carrying load laterally to the specially padded hip strap,
distributing the load from the back to the hips. The anatomically
positioned, ultra-comfortable hip strap consists of an ergonomically shaped,
multi-layered hip fin with a conical 3D reinforcement sheet in PE. A
rubberised lumbar pad in the middle of the hip strap prevents the rucksack
from slipping. The re-designed back padding above that is ultra-conical in
shape, sewn in chambers, and its generous technical padding lies perfectly
against the back. Lateral stability at the top contact point of the
aluminium bars is provided by a fiberglass reinforced bar. Soft,
ergonomically shaped shoulder straps with height adjustment enhance the
level of comfort. |

Two aluminium bars
forming an inverted “V” plus two short fiberglass reinforced bars for
additional support form the central static unit:
The two thin fibreglass reinforced bars lead from the inner aluminium frame
channels laterally into the hip wings . The special dimensions and
arrangement of these reinforced bars result in an excellent combination of
efficient load transmission and system flexibility. The three-part
ergonomically shaped hip strap consists of a central lumbar pad with
anti-slip material and the two conical hip wings. Multi-layered, breathable
foam/AirTex padding guarantees a high level of comfort in use and a pleasant
microclimate. The new technical back padding consists of a number of
chambers, and is conical in shape to ensure the optimum position and contact
with the rucksack. The contact point of the shoulder straps is easily
adjusted to any back length with Tatonka’s innovative adjustable ladder
system. |

X-Lite- System |
|
The X Lite system was developed so that even
less weight-intensive uses could benefit from the innovative carrying
features of the X1 system:
Crossed flexible fibreglass bars run through
frame channels, transferring the load from the shoulders to the hips . Here,
the weight is introduced into a comfortable hip strap and distributed . In
the middle of the ergonomically shaped hip strap is a rubberised non-slip
lumbar pad . Above it, the ultra-concave technical back padding ensures the
item lies perfectly against the back. A diagonal fibreglass reinforced bar
at the top contact point of the bars provides lateral stabilisation.
The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps on
the X-Lite are sewn in, so the height cannot be adjusted. Instead, there is
a choice of four fixed back lengths in sizes S, M, L and XL. |

X-Vent-System |
|
The X Vent system is the clever load
distribution of the X systems combined with the pleasant comfort of a
ventilation system. This rucksack construction is
particularly popular with hikers and bikers. The two light, crossed
fibreglass reinforced bars run through two channels on the back of the
rucksack. The mesh back at the top contact point of the bars can be
tightened and loosened, depending on whether ventilation is required or if
the rucksack is to sit directly against the back. The carrying load is
introduced laterally into the hip strap through sturdy Hypalon pockets . The
hip strap has been re-designed to be particularly ergonomic with a new panel
geometry and padding for even greater comfort. If the rucksack is to be used
with the mesh panel loose, i.e. against the body, then additional comfort
will be provided by the secondary back padding . The rounded shoulder straps
are made of a particularly light, pleasant material. |
